A new play commission

by Bronwyn Carradine

Dramaturgy by Cameron Mackenzie

First Public Reading May 2027

We are thrilled to announce our latest commission. We previously premiered Carradine’s lesbian baby-making comedy, Unexpecting in 2023. We can’t wait to share more of her work with you.

The queer bar that Tovah and Frankie have spent the last two decades building is on its last legs—along with their marriage, their finances, and pretty much everything else. Just as they’re ready to pull the plug on their pipe dream, a last-minute lifeline appears: an opportunity that could save the bar, if they’re willing to take money from the person holding the cheque book. With their wayward nephew on the couch, a fuming high-profile drag queen banging on the front door, and pipes bursting above, the bar is barely holding together. And if Tovah and Frankie can’t figure out how to save the place – and each other – before the night is over, it will all come crumbling down around them.
